Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knocknagawna, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and occupies a low rise. A subcircular grass-covered area measures 28m east-west and 24.5m north-south, bounded by an earthen bank, hedge and outer fosse on the west, east and south. The southwest perimeter lacks evidence and no visible entrance remains.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 45m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a low rise. Subcircular grass-covered and poached area (dims 28m E-W; 24.5m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-3.5m; int. H 0.2-0.6m; ext. H 0.4-1-4m) and hedge with an outer fosse (Wth 3m; D 0.1-0.3m) W-E-S. There is no evidence of the perimeter S-W, and there is no visible entrance. Rath (RO017-051----) is c. 130m to the ENE.
