What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Knocknagawna, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular grass and scrub-covered area forty-eight metres across on the south-west-facing slope of a drumlin. An earthen bank with bushes and an outer fosse define the perimeter, although no visible entrance remains and the north-east edge is quarried.

On the SW-facing slope of a drumlin. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 48m N-S; 48m E-W) defined by an earthen bank with some bushes (Wth 2.85m at N to 3.6m at E; int. H 0.45m at S to 0.85m at W; ext. H 0.8m at N to 1m E-W), and an outer fosse (Wth of base 2m at S to 3.3m N; D 0.1m at S to 0.3m at N) SE-W-NNE.
