At the E end of a low E-W ridge, which is at the E base of the Rathcroghan plateau. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 42.3m N-S; 41.7m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 6-6.5m; int. H 0.1m to 0.9m at S; ext. H 1.8-2.4m) which is separated by a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 9-10.8m; Wth of base 4.3-5.4m; D 1.1-1.4m) from an outer bank (Wth 4.6m-6.3m; H 0.6-1.1m) ESE-W-N. The interior slopes down to the E (H of slope 2.6m) where the inner bank is reduced to a scarp (H 1.6m) and the fosse to a berm (Wth 6.8m at E to 11.8 at N) defined by a scarp (H 0.3-0.7m) N-ESE. There is an entrance (Wth 2.m) in the inner bank at SE (max. ext. diam. 72m N-S; 70m E-W). Rath (RO022-107001-) is c. 250m to the E.
