What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is an enclosure in Kilkenny, County Roscommon, Ireland. It is an overgrown rectangular annexe measuring thirty by twenty metres, attached to the eastern outer bank of a rath on low-lying ground. An earthen bank and outer fosse define its boundary, while a probably modern entrance opens at the south.
An overgrown rectangular enclosure or annexe (dims. c. 30m N-S; c. 20m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3-5m; int. H 0.1-0.5m; ext. H 2m) and outer fosse (Wth of base 1.5m; D 0.3-0.5m) is attached to the outer bank of rath (RO051-031001-) at E, but the annexe is situated on low-lying ground.
