What is recorded here

Situated just below the summit of a gentle NE-facing slope, with sea cliffs c. 130m to the S. This is possibly an early ecclesiastical site. The enclosure is a large, grass-covered circular area (diam. 85.5m E-W; 83.5m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen field bank with internal and external stone-facing (Wth c. 2-3m; H c. 1-2m). The entrance (Wth 2.1m) at W is possibly modern. There is an ogham stone (WA032-029002-) and a small cross-inscribed stone in the interior, but the bullaun stone (WA032-029003-) recorded by Westropp (1906, 250-51; 1914-16, 226) is a saddle quern.
