Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Drumnalassan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It sits at the crest of a north-west to south-east ridge and contains a circular grass-covered area measuring 44.9 metres east-west and 42.5 metres north-south. A gapped inner bank, rounded fosse and outer bank surround the centre, while a field bank joins the outer edge on three sides. The entrance and causeway cut through both banks at the north-east.
At the crest of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 44.9m E-W; 42.5m N-S) defined by a flat-topped but gapped earthen bank (Wth of base 3.1-3.4m; Wth of top 1.2m generally to 2.4m at W; int. H 0.2-0.5m; ext. H 0.8-1.5m) separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 4.7-5.9m; Wth of base 2.3-3.4m; D 0.4m at S to 0.7-1m generally) from a flat-topped outer bank (Wth of base 3.1-4.1m; Wth of top 1-2m; ext. H 0.5-1.3m). The entrance through the inner (Wth 3.6m) and outer (Wth 7.4m) banks and the causeway (Wth 8.5m) are at NE. The site is surrounded by a field bank SE-WSW and WNW-NNE, which is incorporated in the outer bank WSW-WNW.
