Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Derraun, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle south-west-facing slope on a low east-west drumlin ridge. A gapped earthen bank surrounds a circular grass and scrub-covered area, while an outer fosse appears as a band of wet ground to the north-west. Another rath lies about ninety metres to the east-north-east.
On the gentle SW-facing slope of a low E-W drumlin ridge. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 25.5m N-S) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 2.4m at W to 3.7m at NE; int. H 0.15m at W to 0.6m at NE; ext. H 0.8-1m) W-N-E which is incorporated in a field bank and hedge E-SW, and a scarp (H 1m) elsewhere. An outer fosse (Wth of base 2.2m; D 0.2m) at NE is represented by a band of wet ground (Wth 2m) W-NW. There is no visible entrance. Rath (RO011-062001-) is c. 90m to the ENE.
