Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

Towards the bottom of the E-facing slope of a drumlin with Lowfield Lough (diam. c. 350m) c. 160m to the SE. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 37m N-S) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.9-4m; int. H 0.2-0.55m; ext. H 0.65-0.8m) SSW-N, and a scarp (max. H 0.9m) elsewhere. There is an outer fosse (Wth of top 3-4.3m; D 0.1-0.3m) E-SW and W-NW, with an outer bank (Wth 3.8m; ext. H 0.2-0.3m) E-SE which is continued by a berm (Wth 4.3m) defined by a scarp (H 0.2m) SE-S.
