Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Danesfort, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a slight rise on the Killukin river valley floor, about 50m east of the stream. An oval grass and scrub-covered area measures 45m north-south and 35m east-west, bounded by a slight earthen bank, a scarp, and a fosse. A holy well lies 160m to the west-southwest on the far side of the water.
On a slight rise on the floor of the S-N Killukin river valley with the stream c. 50m to the W. Oval grass and scrub-covered area (dims. 45m N-S; c. 35m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.7m) ENE-E and a scarp (H 0.4-0.7m) elsewhere, with a fosse (at SW: Wth of top 6.5m; Wth of base 1.7m; ext. D 0.4m; at SSE: Wth of top 4.2m; Wth of base 1.2m; ext. D 0.4m) NE-SE and SW-NW. There is no visible entrance. Holy well (RO011-045----) is c. 160m to the WSW on the other side of the stream.
