What is recorded here
Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Curry (roscommon By., Elia Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It formed a circular area on a low drumlin ridge with an earth and stone bank, outer fosse and a connection to another rath on the west. Reclaimed pasture has removed the visible remains.
On the crest of a low NW-SE drumlin ridge. Described as a circular area (diam. 33m N-S; 30m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank and outer fosse which was conjoined to rath (RO017-188001-) immediately to the W (Gannon 1972). It is no longer visible in reclaimed pasture.
