Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonylyon, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a circular embanked enclosure on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and occupies a grass-covered area nearly forty-five metres across. An overgrown earthen bank and two fosses define the perimeter, while field boundaries and farm buildings now touch the southern edge.
Marked as a circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 50m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated just off the crest of an E-W ridge on the gentle NW-facing slope. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 45.1m E-W) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 3.5m; int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1m) and fosse (Wth of top 4m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.1m) NE-E, and a fosse (at W: Wth of top 6m; int. D 0.4m; ext. D 0.9m) SW-NNW. The interior is overlain by field boundaries, and farm buildings impinge on the perimeter at S.
