Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cloonearagh, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle west-facing slope as a subcircular grass and rush-covered area measuring 58.6 metres north-south and 51.8 metres east-west. A flat-topped earthen bank defines the perimeter, incorporating a field bank and hedge on the east-southwest while reducing to a low scarp elsewhere. A flat-bottomed fosse surrounds the northwest, east and southwest sections, leaving a four-metre-wide entrance at the east-northeast without a causeway.
On a gentle W-facing slope. Subcircular grass and rush-covered area (dims 58.6m N-S; 51.8m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 5-5.7m; Wth of top 3-3.9m; int. H 0.6-1.1m; ext. H 1.2-1.4m) which is incorporated into a field bank and hedge E-SW and reduced to a scarp (H 0.3m) SW-NW. There is a flat-bottomed fosse (Wth of top 5.2-6.3m; Wth of base 2.9-3.4m; D 0.3-0.9m) NW-E-SW, and an entrance (Wth 4m), but no causeway, at ENE. A shed is built on the perimeter at SW.
