Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballymaging OR Castlemore, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area measures 43m east-west and 39m north-south on a low ridge slope, with a N-S stream 50m to the east. A scarp rises 0.3m at the north and 2m at the east, while a mature copse occupies the SE quadrant. No fosse or entrance is visible, but a man-made underground passage lies inside the perimeter at the west.
Towards the bottom of the SE-facing slope of a low NW-SE ridge, with a N-S stream c. 50m to the E. This is a circular grass-covered area (diam. 43m E-W; 39m N-S) with trees from a mature copse in the SE quadrant. The rath is defined by a scarp (H 0.3m at N to 2m at E). There is no visible fosse or entrance, but the Man-made underground passage (RO008-031002-) is inside the perimeter at W. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revised upload: 2 August 2018
