What is recorded here
Marked as a small circular embanked enclosure (ext. diam. c. 20m) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on a slight NE-facing slope in a small copse. Circular grass and nettle-covered area (int. dims. 6m N-S) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (at W: Wth 1.6m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.3m; at N: Wth 6.7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.1m) with an entrance (Wth 2.4m) at ESE. Archaeological testing to within a few metres of the site at E failed to produce any related material (Read 2008b).
