What is recorded here

Eddystone Rocks is a small rocky islet located off the coast of Rame Head in Cornwall, notable for being the site of the first lighthouse built on the open sea, the original Eddystone Lighthouse. The rocks have a long history of maritime significance and shipwrecks, and the lighthouse, constructed in the late 17th century, was a major engineering achievement of its time.
