Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Eday, Mill Loch as Burial Cairn(s) (neolithic), Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3500–2500 BCE). It is part of a broader network of chambered tombs in Orkney, reflecting the region's significant role in Neolithic funerary and ceremonial practices.
