Clonageera, County Laois, Ireland, once held a monastery where slight wall fragments stood in the Wilderness until 1865, when they were cleared away. The site lies a little less than half a mile south of Durrow, almost due west of Clonageera House, but is now known to very few. Whatever prayers or daily work filled that small church has faded with its stones, leaving only a forgotten name and a quiet field behind.

Unlocated monastery within townland that is described by Carrigan as 'A little less than a half a mile to the south of Durrow, in the townland of Clonageera, the site of a "monastery" is still pointed out. Some slight fragments of the walls of the monastic church remained, in the "Wilderness" about 200 yds. Almost due west of Clonageera House, till 1865, when they were cleared away.
