Ecclesiastical enclosure in Townplots, a hidden churchyard beside Kinsale's medieval wall, may mark the sixth-century settlement of St. Multose. No stones or ditches remain visible, yet the town's oldest faith may still sleep beneath grass, road or church itself. To walk past it is to step across centuries without knowing it.

In pasture, on SE-facing slope. Located directly outside site of W wall of medieval town of Kinsale (CO112-03402- and CO112-03401-). According to local information (pers. comm. E. Gillen) site of early ecclesiastical settlement of St. Multose founded in the 6th century (Gwynn and Hadcock 1988, 396). No visible surface trace. It is also possible that site is that now occupied by St Multose' Church (CO112-03404-). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
