What is recorded here

Two rectangular shadows appear in the green pasture above the stream, joined like chambers of a forgotten house. They resist every human attempt to draw them, yet satellite cameras capture their angles without hesitation. The land keeps its own survey, revealing what measured instruments forget.

In pasture, immediately N of stream running E-W, a standing stone (LI041-013012-) lies 110m to the SW. Clogher Hill 190m to NNW, Knockaunatarriff 580m to SW. Not marked on historic OSi maps. Cropmark visible on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1:10,000 No. 75) taken 11/09/1982 . Monument visible as two rectangular-shaped conjoined cropmarks, N area (dims. c. 40m NW-SE; 36m NE-SW) defined by a ditch, with area to SE (dims. c. 30m NW-SE; 40m NE-SW), intersected at NE by a relic field boundary running NW-SE, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13.
