What is recorded here

Mortons has no visible ruin, only a low L-shaped bank in pasture at the west end of a small valley. A standing stone waits nearby to the northeast. The earthwork may have marked a boundary, excluded cattle or enclosed a forgotten ceremony. Its shape still holds the valley like a hand resting on a table.
