What is recorded here

In pasture, 160m N of townland boundary with Ballyfauskeen. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a raised oval-shaped area defined by a scarp, intersected at SE and N by a post-1700 field boundary. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a sunken sub-circular shaped area (dims. c. 18m N-S; 22m E-W), incorporated into a post-1700 field boundary, intersected at S and NE by post-1700 field boundaries running NW-SE. Earthwork visible as a circular area enclosed by a tree-lined bank on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
