What is recorded here

Earthwork in Cabragh is a lost fort in County Meath, erased by a gravel pit. It appeared on the 1837 map as a fort, but human hands have since taken its stones and soil for other uses. What remained was a boundary, a shelter or a marker for people who no longer leave names behind. The land has been dug once for identity and twice for profit.
