In pasture, 160m W of townland boundary with Mortlestown. An earthwork (LI048-049----) lies 80m to the NE. Not marked on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Shown on the 1897 OSi 25-inch map as a raised sub-circular shaped area (dims. c. 21m NW-SE; 17m NE-SW) defined by a scarp. Monument visible as circular-shaped area defined by a tree-lined bank on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages. Rectilinear cropmarks visible adjacent to the monument may represent drainage channels associated with land reclamation works.
