Earthwork in Ballynamona (coshlea By.)

In reclaimed pasture 115m E of a stream. Barrow cemetery (LI049-072001/009-) lies 140m to SE. Depicted on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. c. 37m) defined by a scarp. Not depicted on subsequent OSi maps, indicating that the earthwork was levelled between these map dates (1840/1897). No surface remains visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 or on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached Google Earth orthoimages.
