Dunnicaer

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Dunnicaer as Pictish Symbol Stone (pictish). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Dunnicaer is associated with Saint Duthac (Dudeck), a 7th-century Pictish saint linked to the nearby island of Pabay in the Orkney Islands. Traditionally, he is said to have been martyred there, and holy wells or sites near such Pictish stones often carry associations with healing and local protective traditions.
