What is recorded here

Gateway, extant 1839, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cut-granite panelled piers on chamfered plinths having shallow pyramidal capping supporting replacement spear head-detailed mild steel double gates with granite ashlar outer piers having shallow pyramidal capping. Road fronted at entrance to grounds of Duninga House.
A gateway forming part of a self-contained group alongside an adjacent gate lodge (see 12402116) with the resulting ensemble making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene at an obsolete entrance on to the grounds of the Duninga House estate.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
