Duncraig Castle was built by the Clan Donald in the 13th or 14th century and later held by the Mackenzies of Kintail. It is remembered as a strategic stronghold in the Scottish Highlands and as the site of a significant 15th-century battle between the Mackenzies and the Clan Donald.
