Freestanding squared rock-faced limestone water tower at Dromod Railway Station, built c.1885, with cast-iron water tank. Now disused. Brick arched openings. Fixed window to north-west elevation with stone sill and timber battened door with overlight to south-east elevation. Stone step to entrance.

This water tower forms part of a group with the surviving railway related structures. The architectural form of this still functional tower is enhanced by the brick arches, window and battened door.
