A named place photographed at this map point in West Northamptonshire.
Delapre Abbey, including its doorway, was founded by the Cistercian order in the early 12th century, with construction of the current stone structure beginning around 1147. The doorway reflects Early English Gothic style and is significant as one of the few surviving parts of the abbey, which was dissolved in 1539 during the Reformation.
