What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1940 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated just off the crest of a slight N-S spur, on a SW-facing slope. It is recorded as a structure almost obscured by soil (OSFM). There are no visible remains of any structure and there is no local knowledge of one. The possible megalithic tomb (WX006-003----) is c. 240m to the ENE, and the standing stone (WX006-008) is c. 300m to the SW. Portal dolmen; likely dating to the Neolithic period. Its significance lies in its representation of early megalithic funerary architecture, though its current obscured condition limits further archaeological interpretation.
