Ardmalin Children's Burial Ground stood slightly raised between a pebble and a sand beach in County Donegal, marked by graves that identified it as a resting place for children. Sand quarrying destroyed the site and removed its markers, erasing the visual boundary between the living shore and the dead. The loss transforms a known burial ground into an absent one, depriving visitors of the exact place where children once lay beneath the Donegal sky.
