There is no surface evidence of any enclosures of archaeological importance in the area marked on the aerial photos (GSI N 534/5). There was a 19th century golf course located in this area which was associated with the nearby racecourse. These features may have been associated with the golf course. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
