Dermot & Granias Bed is a wedge tomb in County Mayo, Ireland, where ancient stones still lean across the land like a forgotten chair. People may have laid their dead beneath its tilted slab or simply sat beside it when storms rolled in from the Atlantic. The name suggests two figures, perhaps lovers, rivals or children, yet no clear story survives to prove it. That vacancy makes the tomb larger, not smaller, because imagination has room to enter.
