Dallán is a tapering standing stone in level Cork pasture, absent from both the 1842 and 1905 maps. It rises 1.45 metres, subcircular at the base and pointed at the top, like a finger withdrawn halfway from earth. Its absence from official drawings suggests human memory kept it hidden, perhaps marking a boundary, a burial or a promise older than survey lines.
