Detached four-bay single-storey former gate lodge, built c. 1820, now in use as house. Pitched slate roof with rendered chimneystack and overhanging eaves with timber bargeboards to gables. Rendered walls. Square-headed openings with replacement windows and render label mouldings. Square-headed opening with replacement door. Rubble stone sweep walls to entrance with render copings and rendered square-profile piers with decorative caps and ball finials.

Long, low form is characteristic of gate lodges of era, as are features such as label mouldings and overhanging eaves. Sweep walls and decorative, well executed piers add significantly to roadscape and provide a highly visible and notable feature along road.
