Crystal Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Crystal Well as Holy Well (medieval) - (18th Century). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Crystal Well is traditionally associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer linked to several holy sites in Perth and Kinross. The well was believed to have curative properties, particularly for eye ailments, and was visited by pilgrims who performed rituals such as circling the well or drinking the water.
