Crucifixion plaque in Laharan (barrymore By.) stands on top of the lintel-stone of a holy well in County Cork, Ireland. A rectangular stone slab, about 0.6m by 0.5m, carries a crucifixion scene in relief, while visitors have inscribed a small cross on the figure and a similar cross marks the lintel below. The plaque turns an ordinary well into a place where suffering, devotion and repeated human touch meet in stone.
