Cruach Choireadail rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Cowal Peninsula. Its name, meaning "Hill of the Hollow," suggests a landscape shaped by glacial activity, typical of the region's ancient Caledonian mountain geology. While not widely documented in folklore, it contributes to the local sense of place and the geographical identity of the Argyll and Bute area.
