Cruach a' Bhàillidh rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Cowal Peninsula in Argyll and Bute. Its name, meaning "Hill of the Calf" in Scottish Gaelic, reflects the pastoral history of the region and local landscape lore.
