The chamber of chambers shows the chamber of records. A small flame moves from one chamber to the other. It is not a human flame. It is the shape of a promise kept.
In a church (DG089-014001-). This subrectangular broken cross-slab (L 0.5m long; Wth 0.09-0.25m; T 0.06m) is incised on one side with a cross with two sets of transverse arms, one of which is encircled; on the other side of the slab is a simple cross. Another cross-slab (DG089-014003-) is nearby. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated. Date of upload: 22 September 2008
Probably dates to the early medieval period, likely between the 8th and 11th centuries. The cross design may reflect Christian symbolism, possibly associated with a local ecclesiastical site or memorial.
