A fragment of a cross-slab (dims 0.54m x 0.4m; T 0.2m) with interlace in false relief on the only surviving arm of the cross was recorded within Kilberry church (ME012-020----) (SMR file 1990) but it is now in NMI (pers. com. Dated to the early medieval period, likely between the 8th and 10th centuries, the cross-slab reflects Christian symbolism and craftsmanship of the time. The interlace design may have had both decorative and spiritual significance, common in Insular art traditions.
