What is recorded here

Half a metre of broken stone, set high on a west wall in Gallen, still carries a cross with hollow angles and a small circle at its heart. The top is gone, the edge snapped clean, yet the shape remains sharp enough to mark death and prayer in the same breath. Copper brackets hold what the storm took, proving even loss can be displayed when someone chooses to remember it.
