Cross-slab in Cappagh (dunmore By.)

This cross-slab is built into the E face of a leacht or altar (GA005-027----). Described by Higgins (1987, ii, 313, no. 39) as a limestone slab (H 0.27m; Wth 0.32m; T 0.08-0.09m) bearing ‘three one-line Latin crosses, one large one and two smaller ones’. The two smaller crosses extend from beneath the arms of the larger one. Four notches were noted in the upper right-hand canton of the smaller cross right-hand cross.
