On the southern slopes of Mass Mount, a small cross carved into rock watches Bantry Bay and Adrigole Harbour. O'Brien (1968, 71) suggested it may be recent, yet it stands beside another cross and a holy well, marking the hillside as a place of prayer. Perhaps someone cut it during a storm, when the sea roared below and the sky turned white.

On rock outcrop, on S slopes of Mass Mount, overlooking Bantry Bay and Adrigole Harbour to SW. Compass-scribed cross (diam. 0.14m); attempt at 'Marigold'. O'Brien (1968, 71) suggests cross may be of 'recent date'. Similar cross (CO116-014003) c. 150m to S; holy well (CO116-014001) to SW.
