Cross described in 1996 as follows; 'This small, rough stone cross stands on the Monks' Graveyard [KE104A001046-]. A portion of its lower shaft has broken off H: 0.3m. W: 0.31m. T: 0.05m' (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, 289, no. 948 (63)). The cross features a rounded head and short arms. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. A high cross associated with the monastic site of Sceilg Mhichíl, dating to the early medieval period (probably 7th–9th century), likely built by monks; its small scale and rough construction suggest a local, devotional function within the monastery's graveyard.
