Thirty centimetres of broken stone still marks the edge of the Monks' Graveyard in Sceilg Mhichíl. What is missing matters as much as what remains: the head, one arm and the life that shaped the cross before it broke. A person may have stood at that exact spot, reading the grave and the sky through a marker now reduced to a stub.

Cross described in 1996 as follows; 'The head and one arm of this stone cross have broken off. The lower angle of the remaining arm is hollowed, and there are slight traces of a linear Latin cross on its W face. The cross stands on the NE side of the Monks' Graveyard [KE104A001046-] H: 0.3m W: 0.26m T: 0.05m' (O'Sullivan and Sheehan 1996, 289, no. 948 (61). The above description is derived from A.
