No monastery hall, no altar table, no ceremony chamber remains visible. The cross still stands beside the monks' graveyard, marking the place where people were set down and remembered. What is missing is not the same as never having existed.

Lying on the wall to the S of the Monks' Graveyard (KE104A001046-) on Sceilg Mhichíl. This rough stone cross (L 0.61m; Wth 0.26m; T 0.05m), which has a partially rounded head, displays two rough notches 0.24m below the head. A high cross on Sceilg Mhichíl, built by an unknown early Christian community, likely between the 8th and 10th centuries. Its rough stone construction and partially rounded head suggest a typical Irish high cross style, and it is significant as a rare surviving example from this remote monastic site.
