What is recorded here

No monastery is complete without a cross, and no cross is complete without a story. The Church gave Sceilg Mhichíl its name, the men gave it their bones, and the stone gave back a small flat marker for both. What is missing is the part that broke off, perhaps the figure, perhaps the words, perhaps the name of the man who cut it. A monastery keeps its own counsel; that is all.

Standing on the W side of the Monks' Graveyard (KE104A001046-) on Sceilg Mhichíl. This fragment of a stone cross (H 0.26m; Wth 0.28m; T 0.06m) has a flat head and two short arms.
