Cromleck

Cromleck is a Neolithic court tomb on the Atlantic fringe of County Mayo, where huge stones still mark a chamber built for the dead before human memory began. It sits quietly near Breastagh, small enough to be overlooked yet named in the old Welsh and Breton word for a stone structure, suggesting the place spoke to people long before modern maps existed. The chamber may have held ancestors, treasure or ceremony, but its true purpose has faded into the bog and sea air. What remains is a room without walls, waiting for someone to imagine who sat inside it when the world was young.
