What is recorded here
This is the record for four adjacent pits (Site M) excavated by Brendán Ó Riordáin (97E0083) on the Arklow bypass road scheme. The pits contained cremated remains and sherds of Beaker pottery, as well as flint artefacts. This pottery would place the burials in the late Neolithic/early Bronze Age period. (Ó Riordáin 1999)
